  • PetroKamchatka ("PetroKamchatka" or the "Company") currently has three onshore exploration licences representing an aggregate 1,137,065 net hectares, a very significant land position in this potentially prolific hydrocarbon basin. Numerous prospects and leads in the Icha Block areas of the Kamchatka Peninsula have been identified on modern 2D seismic. KNOC Kamchatka Petroleum Limited ("KKPL"), a company owned 55% by Korea National Oil Corporation ("KNOC"), and the Koryakia Property Fund, an investment agency of the Koryakia Oblast Administration, Kamchatka, have 50% and 5% interests, respectively, in the Icha Blocks in Kamchatka. The Ichinskaya and Vorovskaya Blocks are held 100% by the Company.  The Company has drilled two exploration wells on the recently expired Tigil Block, with oth wells being dry and abandoned.

In accordance with the requirements of National Instrument 51-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities ("NI 51-101"), PetroKamchatka has obtained a Report on Resources Data dated effective June 30, 2009 prepared by DeGolyer and MacNaughton ("D&M"), an independent qualified resource evaluator, which estimates (mean estimate) 1.228 billion barrels of gross unrisked prospective oil resources for a 100% interest in three of the blocks, from 13 prospects and 3 leads. Note that the Company does not own a 100% interest in these three blocks. This report, along with the Report on Resources Data by Independent Qualified Resource Evaluator in Form 51-101F2 and the Report of Management and Directors on Oil and Gas Disclosure in Form 51-101F3, can be downloaded via the links below.
